Vehicle Conversions
Johnson Security Ltd offers full range of vehicle conversions based on anything from a car sized van to a 44 tonnes truck. Bespoke bodies can be constructed on commercial chassis or conversions can utilise existing body work. Design and build facilities cater for anything from a single vehicle to a few hundred of the same type.

Security on Board
Many systems are available to ensure cash transit operations are successfully and efficiently completed. Johnson Rotary Transfer Units and Secure Locker systems are used extensively throughout the industry. Lockers can be programmed individually or in groups, to open only at pre-determined times and/ or locations. JOHNSON SECURITY supplies various other optional systems, including those for remote monitoring and surveillance.
Ballistic Testing/Certification and Anti-Bandit Vehicle
Armouring is to British Standards and corresponding DIN standards, covering resistance to most common ballistic threat levels; from a 9mm handgun to a 7.62 Nato ball. Armour materials used include steel, aluminium, GRP and Kevlar.

This is the classification for conversions over 18 tonnes. The type of vehicle in this category is usually "Trunking" vehicles operating from one secure base to another. Considered to be a "Safe on Wheels" the vehicle is loaded with security devices whilst maintaining a large operating volume and payload.
Vehicles normally up to 3.5 tonne GVW designed for specific cash movement duties. The conversions may be armoured and are panel vans or built onto chassis cabs. The vehicles may be fitted with sophisticated security equipment including biometric identification and locker control.
Fitted with modular security equipment such as lockers. Additional locks and simple control systems may be fitted to control access to the vehicle and its load.
GVW from 5 tonne to 26 tonne. The chassis is fitted with a standard box body. Additional locks and simple control systems may be fitted to control access to the vehicle and its load.
Small panel van fitted with modular security equipment such as a drop safe or lockers. Additional locks and simple control systems may be fitted to control access to the vehicle and its load.
This is the 7.5 tonne GVW class of conversion and is normally fully armoured with complete multi-role capability. All of the sophistication of high tech devices may be incorporated into the design as well as the latest CCTV and GPRS communications.
